Listography: Episode 29 – NBA Preview Special

* cues up the NBA on NBC theme*

Listography is back, the NBA is back and all is right with the world again. Like ’96 Jordan, we are back and better than ever after some busy work schedules held us down. With NBA ball starting this week, we decided it was time to grab the mics and talk some hoops.

There are a million things we could discuss when talking NBA, but we decided to go all LeBron on you and give you not one, not two, but THREE Mt. Rushmore segments and a 3 Things We Predict.

Loaded with history, GOAT debates and of course some spicy predictions that might have us looking like experts in June, this episode was made for the basketball junkie. Pop in the headphones and listen to the Mount Rushmore of Point Guards, Wings and Big Men before heading over to our social media pages to join in on the debates!

Listography: Episode 28 – NFL Special Pt. II

College football has arrived and this week the NFL is back as well. The journey to the Super Bowl begins Thursday night with the Chicago Bears hosting the Green Bay Packers to kick off the 100th season of the NFL.

Before kickoff though, take a few minutes to listen to Part II of our NFL Special. First, we break down the USA Today’s ranking of the 100 Greatest NFL Teams of All-Time. A Herculean task by the USA Today, the list gets it right at the top with the ’85 Bears. After that, it is certainly up for debate so let us know your thoughts.

We’ve talked plenty about the past over the course of these two shows, but to finish this episode out we give you our biggest storylines for the upcoming season. Unfortunately we recorded this show before many headlines (looking at you, Andrew Luck) broke, but nonetheless, it’s a quality segment that ends with our Super Bowl predictions. Tsuleff decided to take the Saints, while Wad elected to go with the Chargers.

If you thought we were done with football then think again! We’re back for another week of pigskin talk, but this time we’re moving to the NFL. Whereas the last two weeks we looked at our favorites with college football, we’re back to Mount Rushmores in this week’s episode.

For years people have debated who are the best quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers, and we’re here to settle all that talk. The episode didn’t come without controversy though as Wad said something so silly in the running backs segment that Tsuleff couldn’t even get mad because he was so perplexed. We’ll let you listen to hear exactly who was left off.

There’s plenty to break down in this packed episode so listen and then share your opinion. There’s plenty of places to do so with our FacebookTwitter and/or Instagram where you can also go for more content. Thanks for listening and don’t forget to subscribe, rate and review on iTunes.

There’s plenty more to be discussed when it comes to college football and that’s why we needed a part two. We’re back with more football talk and in this episode we’re breaking down the best traditions, games and tailgate food.

There might not be another sport that feeds off tradition more than college football. Every school has multiple things that fans and players look forward to, but we agreed that one school is head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to tradition.

As far as games go, our generation has been absolutely blessed. There have been so many incredible games and yet somehow we agreed on all three that we picked. Let us know if you have one that should be included.

Lastly, tailgate food might be just as important as the game so don’t skip the last segment. The party won’t be very live if the food is no good!

Summer is fading away and the fall is coming. With that, we’re headed to the gridiron! This week begins four straight weeks of football talk and we’re cramming more topics than ever into one show. In Part I of our College Football Special we break down our top three favorite uniforms, rivalries and stadiums.

It’s no secret that these were hard lists to narrow down. With new uniforms debuting every week, selecting just three schools was almost impossible. Rivalries run deep with passion throughout the sport, but we landed on the same three at the top of the list.

Grab a friend and gather ’round! We’re talking adult and kids party games on Part III of our Summer Games series. There isn’t much in this world that is more fun than a good game night and we have plenty of favorites.

That’s why we decided to double up on the Top 5 Lists and give you our Top 5 Favorite Adult Party Games and the same for kids’ games. It’s an episode packed with laughs and nostalgia, and also a little anger as we recall the infamous Candyland meltdown from our senior year of college.

Tsuleff revealed that he is a big time strategy game guy, while Wad opted for plenty of classics. Tsuleff also revealed that his family had special rules for UNO, which has us wondering if anybody else’s family had special rules for a certain game. If so, be sure to share them with us!

Give the show a listen below and keep it tuned to our FacebookTwitter and/or Instagram where we will reveal what’s coming up next for the show. Thanks for listening and don’t forget to subscribe, rate and review on iTunes.

Listography: Episode 23

We’re back to Summer Games and this week we’re talking about the titan of the video game landscape: Nintendo. The games and characters and are loved by everyone and nearly every household has probably owned one of their systems at some point.

While we have some knowledge of Nintendo and its games, there’s hardly anybody on Earth who can bring the expertise of Tsuleff’s brother-in-law, Andrew Lehr. Raised on the N64 and GameBoy, Andrew has owned plenty of Nintendo systems and has a knowledge bank that overflows in this episode.

We kick things off with the Mount Rushmore of Nintendo Games before compiling our lists of our Top 5 Favorite Super Smash Characters. Give the show a listen and then let us know your thoughts! It’s been a journey, but the Music Series is coming to an end. From the 1960’s all the way through the 2010’s, we have now covered each decade’s best artists and our favorite songs. Which decade is the best? We will leave that up to you!

Full Music Series: 1960’s | 1970’s | 1980’s | 1990’s | 2000’s

First though, give the new show a listen. The 2010’s have been dominated by women and they have plenty of Grammy’s between them. Taylor Swift, Adele, Lady Gaga and Rihanna aren’t stopping anytime soon, but neither are Bruno Mars, Drake and many others.

As we finish up the music series, it’s time to focus our attention on games. Our summer games series will kick off next week and we will be discussing everything from video games to lawn games throughout.

We appreciate you listening as always and don’t forget to subscribe, rate and review on iTunes and then follow Listography on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

Listography: Episode 19 | 4th of July Special

Happy birthday, America! Independence Day is upon us and we’re celebrating with a walk down memory lane. What moments made this great country? Some are good, some are bad, but there’s no denying that our Mount Rushmore of Moments That Made America did just that: they made us who we are today.

We’re pretty smart guys who love history, but this task was too tall for us so we enlisted the help of Tsuleff’s sister, Maria Lehr. Maria has a history degree from Taylor University and graciously accepted our invitation to join us on the show.

History is complex so there’s only one segment in this episode, but put it on, throw some burgers and dogs on the grill and get your mind right for some fireworks. Happy Fourth of July from Listography!

Listography: Episode 18

Summer vacation is over and we are back, baby! This music series rolls on and into a new millennium as we tackle the 2000’s in the latest episode. For once, we both gave answers that didn’t fire the other one up on our Mount Rushmore as we gave credit to the R&B and hip-hop artists that defined the decade.

Full Music Series: 1960’s | 1970’s | 1980’s | 1990’s

While the songs of the 2000’s were all over the place, we each managed to pick our five favorites and we finished the show with 3 Things We Recommend. It’s been a busy summer and we’ve been doing a lot so we figured we would pass along a few recommendations.

Wad professed his love for Traeger Grills and Tsuleff broke down his family trip to Hawaii, but there’s so much jam-packed into this episode. Give the show a listen and let us know your thoughts!
