Listography: Episode 39 – Pizza

What is better than pizza? A beautiful, fresh pie out of the oven loaded with your favorite toppings. A side of breadsticks and a good salad. There’s simply nothing that can compare. From local joints to chains, pizza is some of the best stuff we humans have ever created.

But how do you rank them all? That’s a debate that could rage on forever and we would know. We welcomed our wives back on the show and the takes were hot, the opinions were harsh and the tempers sometimes flared. It’s all here in a packed pizza episode as we rank our Mount Rushmore of Indianapolis Pizza, breakdown the top three national pizza chains and discuss the top three kinds of pizza.

Listography: Episode 38 – Dessert

It’s a kid’s dream in Episode 38 of Listography as we dive into the delicious world of candy and ice cream. With so many options in the candy world, we had to divide it into two segments. First, we tackle the chocolate side of things, before getting into non-chocolate candies. The show comes to a close with our favorite ice cream places.

For those who love sweets, tear open your favorite candy bar, pop the headphones in and give the new show a listen. Listography: Episode 37 – Breakfast

Quarantine can’t stop us, it can only hope to contain us! Unfortunately, COVID-19 has us apart right now, but thanks to Zoom, we’re back in the game. A long time ago, we started our Food Series and we’re bringing it back today with part two. Last time we talked burgers, but this week we’re talking breakfast with our wives, Hannah and Natalie, joining as special guests.

Everybody loves a pack of Pop-Tarts and we debate the Mount Rushmore of Pop-Tart flavors to open the show. Next, grab a spoon and a bowl and let’s talk cereal as we draft a team of five cereals and compare who has the best squad. Last, we’re focusing on our hometown of Indianapolis and talking the best brunch spots in a city that does brunch right.

Listography: Episode 36 – 2020 MLB Special Pt. II

Part II of the 2020 MLB Special is live! In the last episode we gave you our all-time favorite team, but in this one we rank the top five best games we’ve watched and then break down some storylines for this upcoming season.

We’re not huge fans of Rob Manfred, we thing replay is terrible and the Astros deserve all the boos. Those are the takes that await you in the latest show, which you can find in the second segment. Before that, take a trip down memory lane as we shout out the Chicago White Sox and their mostly-forgotten 2005 World Series squad. We also looked at our favorite games as fans as Wad and Tsuleff reminisce about 2011 Game 6 and Nate rehashed the emotional rollercoaster that was 2016 Game 7.

Who knows when baseball will be back, but don’t go all this time without the game. Listography: Episode 35 – 2020 MLB Special Pt. I

Well, times are strange these days with the coronavirus running rampant through our world. First and foremost, we wish everyone nothing but safety and good health during these times. Staying home and avoiding people can be difficult and a bit depressing, but we’re here to help!

Obviously (as you will find out when you start listening), we recorded our 2020 MLB Special before all the craziness went down, but we’ve decided to release it anyway. Nate Wadley once again stopped by to join the show and we went about things a bit differently this year. Because we talked for so long, we decided to divide the show into two parts and part one below is our all-time favorite MLB team. We’ve constructed a lineup of our favorite players at each position.

It was no simple task to narrow it down, but we’re confident that we each built a team that would not only be fun, but could also win some ball games. Part II of the MLB Special will drop later this week and in that episode we will talk more about the upcoming season.

For now though, give Part I a listen and let us know your all-time favorite team! Connect with us right here on the blog or follow us on social media, FacebookTwitter and/or Instagram to join the conversation. Thanks for listening and don’t forget to subscribe, rate and review on iTunes.

Listography: Episode 34 – Burgers

The food series has finally arrived at Listography! Since we created this show, we knew food was a topic that presented so many opinions and lists. After a year, we’re finally ready to dive in. Part I is a quintessential American food: the burger. A patty and a bun, but so many possibilities.

Our good friend Stevo Cavender dropped by as we build our perfect burgers, debate the top five fast/fast-casual burger joints (12:15) and then rank the top three burger restaurants in our home city of Indianapolis (42:50).

As we begin the food series, feel free to give us your opinion. Connect with us right here on the blog or follow us on social media, FacebookTwitter and/or Instagram to join the conversation. Thanks for listening and don’t forget to subscribe, rate and review on iTunes.

Listography: Episode 33 – Remembering Kobe

The world stopped Sunday afternoon. Kobe Bryant dead. How? Where? Why? So many questions and no sense to make of it all. Our heroes aren’t supposed to go like this. The suddenness of it all only added to the heartbreak and it became even worse when the news came out that his daughter Gianna and seven others were on board.

Kobe Bryant was a legend in every sense of the word. He was the NBA for a generation and, while it had only been a few years, he had so gracefully slid into retirement and family life. For all his awards and accolades on the court, he seemed to enjoy just being a dad off it.

It’s tragic that those nine individuals are no longer here with us and the mourning process throughout the league will take time. As for fans, we grieve for a man we did not know, but who played such a large part in our lives. This week, we sat down and counted down 8 Kobe Moments as we remember the life and legacy of one of the greatest to ever do it.

Share your Kobe stories with us as pay tribute to Mamba. You can join in on the conversation on our FacebookTwitter and/or Instagram. Thanks for listening and don’t forget to subscribe, rate and review on iTunes.

Listography: Episode 30 – College Basketball Preview

Get the puppies organized as Bill Raftery would say and let’s talk college hoops! Last time we were here, we were talking NBA ball, but now it’s time to shift our attention to the college game. The forgotten stars, the madness of March, the legendary coaches – college basketball has it all and so does this episode.

We’re joined by our good friend, and Purdue fan, Trent Palmer on this episode. We have the usual Mount Rushmore segment, but we follow with a couple of new ones that are sure to spark some debate. Below, we have also posted some article and highlights for your enjoyment.
