Listography 51 – The Greatest Stretch in Sports

Sports is the gift that keeps on giving. At any point on the calendar there are multiple leagues in play, but it’s clear there are stretches where sports is at its best. That’s the topic of Episode 51: what stretch on the calendar is the best?

We put up a parameter of a three month period and then debated which one was the greatest. Is it the spring months when March Madness, The Masters, and MLB Opening Day highlight the slate? Or are you more into the winter months when basketball and hockey are underway, while football goes into bowl/playoff mode? And don’t forget the summer with baseball, NBA and NHL championships, and the Olympics or World Cup.

Listography: Episode 43 – TV Series Pt. III

There are those television characters that we love. The ones who make the show for us. They bring the laughs, the suspense, the memorable one-liners. They are the ones that stick with us for all the right reasons and we miss them once the show comes to a close. There are also those characters that we can’t stand. They annoy us when they come on screen. They bring little to the show and we wish the didn’t have to encroach on our favorite shows.

In part three of the TV Series, we’re bringing both types of characters to you! We start with our Mount Rushmore of TV Characters and then finish with our Top 3 Show Ruiners. Some shows have characters featured in both segments, and the opinions might spark some heated debate.

Those who have listened know this is our sweet spot and we put together an hour of conversation about the Mount Rushmore of Sports Broadcast Teams and our Top 5 ESPN 30 for 30’s.

Listography: Episode 41 – TV Series Pt. I

On this show we’ve waded into the waters of movies and music. We’ve discussed video games and food, sports and several special events. The one glaring hole though, is television. The wide world of television gives us so much. From comedies to kid shows, dramas to documentaries, and everything in between, TV provides something for everyone.

So, here we go. We’re diving into television and we’ll be all over the map in this series. This week, we’re looking at the Mount Rushmore of Comedies, which is a loaded field of shows. We then rank our top five kids’ shows with a heavy dose of nostalgia.

Can anything come close to The Office? Are Seinfeld and Friends overrated? Is Fresh Prince underrated? Were you a PBS kid growing up? All these questions and more are answered so get to listening!

Listography: Episode 40 – Quarantined!

Like everyone else across the world, we’ve spent the last six weeks in quarantine. While there are aspects of it that haven’t been fun, we’ve tried to make the most of it. In fact, we think we’ve done so well in quarantine that we decided we should just make a whole show of it.

Nate Wadley makes his third appearance on the show and we bounce around from topic to topic. We’ve tried some new things in quarantine and discuss how that has gone. We’ve also watched plenty of TV and movies during the past six weeks. Finally, there are things we miss and we break those down to finish the show.

Hopefully everyone is staying safe and hopefully the restrictions will be lifted soon. Until then though, pop the ear buds in and give the show a listen.
